Today was another fun filled day with Kyle and Clara! I was a 'single mom' most of the weekend while Craig participated in the MS 150 event (a two day, 150 mile bike tour). Anyway, after making some homemade banana bread in the morning, the kids and I ventured outside out and assembled their slip 'n slide! By lunch time, it was ready to go. Since Clara takes a nap in the afternoon, she did not get to play on it until later in the day. Kyle was the first person to give it a try (although Craig arrived home shortly thereafter and joined in the fun). Here are a couple of photos that show how much fun Kyle had.
It was such a nice day today, that we spent most of our time outside. The kids enjoyed playing with their bubbles, hula hoops, sidewalk chalk, and swing set. We are so glad that the weather is finally nice and we can do lots of activities outside together.
One productive thing we did today was to plant (finally!) our new tree. Craig has been wanting to plant an autumn blaze maple in the yard for a while now, so today he finally did.
Oh, and I almot forgot . . . . . today is our twelve year wedding anniversary! We are celebrating the occasion with a special dinner together in the near future. Can't wait!
